EXHIBITION INFO

First solo exhibition in Thailand and Southeast Asia

Too Much Heaven

24 July ‒ 6 September 2026 OPEN: 12:00 - 17:00
CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY

CURU GALLERY is pleased to present “Too Much Heaven”, a solo exhibition of new works by Kotao Tomozawa, a Japan-based painter whose work has attracted growing attention both in Japan and internationally.
Marking Kotaoʼs first solo exhibition in Thailand and Southeast Asia, “Too Much Heaven” features a new body of paintings created especially for the exhibition.
Widely recognized for her slime-covered portraits, Kotao has developed a distinctive painterly practice that explores the sensation of being alive and the physical presence of the body. The exhibition presents her latest works, marking a further evolution of her recent practice.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Kotao will stay in Bangkok to create a large-scale work.
Completed on site, the piece will be presented as part of the exhibition and will serve as one of its highlights.
As Kotaoʼs first solo exhibition in Thailand, combined with the experience of creating a new work during her stay in Bangkok, “Too Much Heaven” marks an important milestone in her artistic journey. We warmly invite you to experience her latest body of work at CURU GALLERY.
